The broad theme of the conference is “Research into Practice” bringing together global leaders in the concrete industry, covering all aspects of concrete design improvements, research, construction, maintenance and repair of concrete projects.
The conference is open to anyone interested in attending. It will be of specific interest to those within the building and construction industries and most pertinent to:
- Civil and Structural Engineers
- Concrete Product Manufacturers
- Reinforcement Suppliers
- Civil and Building Contactors
- Prestressing Companies
- Developers
- Academics/Educators
- Government Departments covering Transport, Roads, Railways and Public Works

Please note that all persons intending to attend the Conference must register, including Invited Speakers, Chairpersons, Oral and Poster Presenters.

CIA Non Members
CIA Non Members can attend the conference at the Full CIA Members rate if they join the CIA as an individual member and pay for their membership at the same time as paying for the conference. Young Industry Professionals
The Young Industry Professional category was introduced to encourage younger professionals to participate in the conference, and to encourage companies to increase their staff involvement in the conference by being able to send younger professionals at reduced rates. The Conference is a facility for young members of the concrete industry to gain knowledge for future use in their workplace. A Young Industry Professional is any person attending the conference as a full delegate that is less than 30 years of age (on 30 August 2025). A photocopy of drivers’ license (or equivalent) must be sent to the Conference Managers via email to concrete2015@arinex.com.au or fax to + 61 2 9267 5443. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.
Academic CIA Members
An Academic CIA Member is any academic from a university that has registered as an academic member of the CIA, and any individual institute member from any university who is an academic staff member.
Life / Honourary Members
Life and Honourary Members are members of the CIA who have been granted this award.
Retired Delegates
A Retired delegate is a person who has fully retired from working in the concrete industry but still maintains an interest in keeping in contact with the industry and its personnel.
Members of other international institutes and societies with signed agreements with the CIA can attend the conference at the CIA Full Members rate.

Important Registration Information
Credit Card Payments Online
Online Registration is preferred. Please visit our secure website www.concrete2015.com.au to register and book your accommodation in ‘real time’. Please note all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card.
Accepted credit cards: MasterCard, Visa and American Express. All transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by arinex’.
Cheque
All payments by cheque incur an A$10 processing fee.
Cheque payments will only be accepted up until 17 July 2015. After this date, all registrations must be submitted online with credit card details at www.concrete2015.com.au or calling +61 2 9265 0700.
Cheques are to be made payable to ‘Arinex Pty Ltd on behalf of Concrete 2015’. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.
- You may not pay your fees by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Acknowledgements
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.
You will not receive any further publications before the Conference. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Conference. At the Conference you will receive the final program, the USB of published papers/conference documentation and a list of delegates.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers.
Registration Fees:
- Cancellation before 19 May 2025 will incur an A$150.00 cancellation fee.
- Cancellation before 16 July 2025 will result in forfeiture of 50% of fees paid.
- There will be no refund on cancellations on and after 16 July 2025.
Accommodation Fees:
Credit card details must be given at booking to guarantee reservation. Bookings are not able to be made without credit card details.
- Deposit is non-refundable at 27 July 2025.
Social Function Fees:
- Payments are non-refundable at 16 July 2025.
Entrance to the Conference
Each delegate will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to all included social functions. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserve the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the conference and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the conference, or through cancellation of the conference, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, failure to utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Conference Managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

The program is correct at the time of publishing. The organisers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items from the program or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Conference timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice. Neither the host organisation nor the meeting organisers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.
The conference organisers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Conference for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Conference and/or its content at their sole discretion.
